I don’t know about you, but when it comes to saving myself time, I am all about it.

Last year I shared Valentines Day sweets and treats so if you want more ideas, check them out HERE.

This year I decided I would make store bought brownies but add a little Valentine’s Day flair.

Using the store bought brownies, I baked them according to the instructions on the box. However, I added sprinkles to the batter before putting them in the oven.

When I took the brownies out of the oven, I let them cool down completely. While the brownies cooled, I took strawberry icing and put it into a ziploc bag. I then put it into the fridge to thicken.

After about 30 mins or so, I began cutting the brownies out using a heart shaped cookie cutter. Once cut I added them to a plate for decoration.

I took the icing from the fridge and cut the corner of the ziplock in order to pipe the icing onto the brownies. You can decorate these however you want but I decided to outline them to define the heart shape and then drizzle more icing in a zig zag pattern.

Last but not least, I added some more sprinkles! & voila, chocolate strawberry brownies for Valentine’s Day.
