Almost a year ago I began organizing my fridge so that as a family we could be inspired to eat healthier and waste less food. Over time our needs have changed and I wanted to give you all an updated look at our budget friendly fridge organization. As a special bonus, I decided to organize my pantry as well. All for around $100.
We began using Home Chef in 2021 consistently, meaning that instead of grocery shopping for meat and dinner ingredients, we mostly go for fresh produce and items to stock our pantry. In order to incorporate the Home Chef bags, I decided to utilize the bottom shelf.
For the pantry, my main concern was going through and throwing out ALL of the expired can goods and baking ingredients. I was surprised with how much we had accumulated in that walk-in pantry. We have a big pantry but it made it even messier to organize. After removing the expired goods, I grouped like foods together.
The stars of the show for the pantry, are these beautiful brown wicker baskets from Target, and the clear containers from Amazon. Inside, I was able to conceal things we dont use as often: Cassidy’s asthma medication and breathing machine, baking and hosting supplies, and back stock of items we have bought in bulk. I also decided to remove anything I was storing in there that wasn’t food.
Kitchen Organization for Around $100

Of course, everyone is going to need a different amount of containers, but I have linked my favorites – which means, they are affordable and great quality. I have more options linked in my Amazon Storefront.
