I debated even dedicating a whole blog post to this super easy and delicious treat but, here were are. This is the easiest snack I have ever put together and one of the best parts about it is there is no wrong way to do it.
Bunny Bait is a code word for trail mix. I have seen it done a million ways but I like to keep it simple. I purchased some Easter candy and themed cereal and combined all. That’s it. Two steps. Perfect for making with your littles.
Let’s talk about the ingredients for Bunny Bait.
As I mentioned you can use whatever you like.
For mine I used:
Reese’s Puffs Bunnies Edition
Mini Chocolate Chips
Starburst Jelly Beans
Cadbury eggs
Robin Egg Whoppers
Gummies
Pastel colored M&Ms
This Bunny Bait is definitely a balance of sweet and sour. The gummies and jelly beans are tart and the rest is savory. My favorite part is the Cadbury Eggs. They are my all-time favorite Easter candy.
This easy trail mix would be perfect for treat bags at school or even to snack on during a movie night. I think it would be super cute to display in a glass jar on your counter top.
One thing I remember from Easter as a child is that my mom would put open jelly beans and whoppers in my basket sporadically within the grass that filled the basket. I would have to pick them out to eat them.
